"I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, It's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life's realities."
At six a.m. sharp, his alarm clock began to buzz. Although it was not just any alarm, it was an annoying ringtone he'd chosen from his Blackberry in order to wake him up. He'd started out with an iphone when the craze just hit, but he quickly realized that the only difference from an iphone and a rock is that the iphone comes equipped with a touch screen. At any rate, Keith failed to hit the snooze and got up out of his comfortable bed. A bed he shared by himself and convinced himself he did not have a problem with. Almost zombie-like, Keith slipped on a pair of grey sweatpants, crisp white crewneck and light jacket. Socks and Nike's were placed on his feet. The sun had yet to come up but he was already out of his luxury condo, addressing the love/hate relationship he had with running and staying shape. Texan mornings were not the friendliest in the summertime. There was fog, there was there was ever present stifling humidity. Yet and still, he endured a good two miles out in the weather before heading back into his home. After 35 years, he'd finally found something that was able to completely wake him up in the morning.
